In a surprising turn of events, Zindagi announced on Tuesday that it will be removing its latest series, ‘Barzakh,’ from YouTube Pakistan.

“Barzakh will be taken down starting August 9,” stated the channel’s official announcement.

This decision seems to have been influenced by widespread public backlash, as many netizens voiced strong objections to the series being released in Pakistan.

Directed by Asim Abbasi, known for his earlier works ‘Churails’ and ‘Cake,’ which also sparked debates for their portrayal of sensitive societal issues, ‘Barzakh’ faced similar controversies.

The series’ debut episode has already garnered over four million views on YouTube.

The cast includes renowned actors such as Fawad Khan, Sanam Saeed, M. Fawad Khan, Salman Shahid, Khushhal Khan, Sajid Hasan, Uzma Beg, and Nighat Choudhry.

In a statement posted on Zindagi’s Instagram page, the network expressed gratitude to viewers who appreciated the show and provided an explanation for its removal.
