The Faisalabad Traders Association has filed a Rs. 10 billion lawsuit against a Pakistani YouTuber for allegedly causing them substantial financial harm. His video, which went viral, reveals how traders are purportedly injecting watermelons with dye.
The Association has officially lodged a complaint at the Ghulam Muhammad Police Station against the YouTuber.
The YouTuber’s video gained widespread attention and sparked concern in public discussions.
According to the traders’ petition, his statements led to disorder and had a significant impact on their sales. They estimate losses amounting to billions of rupees due to a sharp decline in watermelon sales following the circulation of the YouTuber’s video.
The traders are seeking Rs. 10 billion in compensation from the YouTuber, holding him accountable for the distress caused by his revelations.
