  • Raisi is set to hold talks with top Pakistani leaders as the two nations aim to boost trade and resolve border issues.

Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi is visiting Pakistan for three days to talk about their relationship. This comes after Iran and Israel attacked each other, making the situation in Gaza more complicated.

Raisi will talk with Pakistan’s top leaders, like Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, to try to improve their relationship. This is especially important after they exchanged missile attacks in January.

He’ll also meet with General Asim Munir, who leads Pakistan’s military. This military has a big influence in Pakistan.

  • Why is he visiting?

Raisi came to Islamabad on Monday to work on making their economic, border, and energy ties stronger.

Iran’s presidential office said they want better relations with Pakistan. During this visit, they’ll talk about things like trade, energy, and the border.

Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also wants to improve their relationship. They plan to discuss trade, energy, farming, and how people interact between the two countries.

Raisi will visit cities like Lahore and Karachi to focus on trade and their relationship.

Mosharraf Zaidi, an expert, said Raisi wants support from Pakistan as Iran deals with Israel. He thinks Pakistan’s political and economic situation might affect how much they can help in the conflict.
