According to the forecast by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Eid ul Adha is likely to fall on Monday, June 17, 2024.
The Climate Data Processing Centre of the Met Office predicts that the crescent moon for Dhul-Hijjah will appear on June 6 at 5:38 PM.
The PMD mentioned that in Karachi, the moon’s age at sunset will be 26 hours and 8 minutes, with an expected visibility of 72 minutes after sunset. The moon needs to be at least 19 hours old to be visible.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will officially announce the Eid ul Adha date soon.
Additionally, the establishment division has declared holidays from June 17 to 19 for Eid ul Adha this year. Official notifications regarding these holidays will be issued by the federal and provincial governments a few days before Eid.
