Ukraine is preparing to deploy robotic dogs to enhance its frontline defense capabilities, potentially replacing soldiers in high-risk missions such as scouting Russian positions and detecting mines.
In a recent demonstration held in an undisclosed location in Ukraine, the robot dog, named “BAD One,” showcased its impressive agility. It was able to stand, crouch, run, and jump on command, all controlled remotely by its operator.
These robotic dogs are designed to be low-profile and stealthy, making them difficult to detect. They are equipped with thermal imaging technology, allowing them to inspect enemy trenches and buildings within combat zones without exposing human soldiers to danger.
The operator, who goes by the name “Yuri” and represents a British company specializing in military technology, highlighted the robot dog’s potential to enhance operational efficiency while reducing risks for soldiers. The robot’s primary functions include reconnaissance, mine detection, and transporting essential supplies like ammunition or medicines to critical locations on the battlefield.
