The United Arab Emirates has issued a strong warning to Pakistani citizens advising them not to seek employment while on tourist visas, highlighting that such actions are illegal.
Following this advisory, Pakistan’s ambassador to the UAE has urged his compatriots to adhere strictly to the country’s regulations. Pakistani visitors on tourist visas must ensure they have a return ticket, at least Dh3,000 in funds, and confirmed hotel accommodation.
The UAE consul general in Karachi reassured that there are no visa restrictions for Pakistanis and emphasized that the UAE offers comprehensive facilities for South Asian nationals visiting for tourism, business, medical reasons, or other purposes. This reflects the UAE’s commitment to maintaining strong ties with Pakistan.
Recent reports have indicated a decline in overseas employment opportunities for Pakistanis, partly due to issues with adherence to local laws and customs. Additionally, a Senate Standing Committee noted that a significant portion of crime in the UAE has been attributed to Pakistani nationals, highlighting the need for increased compliance and respect for local regulations.
