UAE Releases Yellow Alert Due to Dust Conditions
The UAE authorities have issued a yellow warning for dust as the majority of the country experiences fair to partly cloudy weather. They caution against reduced horizontal visibility due to dust and sand until 8pm today.
Abu Dhabi Police, in a post on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), urged motorists to exercise caution and remain alert due to the dusty conditions, advising against distractions such as phone usage.
The weather department forecasts a chance of rainfall in some eastern and southern areas in the afternoon, attributed to the formation of convective clouds.
Today, temperatures in internal areas are expected to reach up to 47ºC, with humidity indices reaching up to 75% in Mezaira and 60% in Gasyoura. In Abu Dhabi and Dubai, temperatures will reach up to 44ºC and 43ºC, respectively.
