The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has made a big change by reducing the time it takes to process work permits and residency visas. Previously, it took 30 days, but now it only takes five days, according to Khaleej Times.
They’ve also cut down the time needed to submit required documents from 16 days to just five. To help with this faster process, the UAE government launched a new platform called “Work Bundle.” This platform is designed to simplify hiring for businesses and make it easier to renew visas for current employees.
Work Bundle is part of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, which aims to create a single platform that makes applying for permits easier for employers. It’s expected to save about 62 million working hours and reduce the need for 25 million office visits.
The platform was first introduced in Dubai in March and will soon be available across all seven emirates. It will eventually cover around 600,000 companies and more than seven million workers, including domestic workers.
Currently, you can access the Work Bundle platform on its website, workinuae.ae, with a mobile app expected to be released soon to make it even more accessible.
This initiative shows the UAE government’s dedication to making things more efficient and reducing bureaucracy. It’s aimed at helping businesses hire and keep employees more easily, while also cutting down on administrative time and effort.
