In light of escalating tensions in the region, Emirates Airline and flydubai have announced the cancellation of all flights to Iraq, Iran, and Jordan scheduled for October 2 and 3. This decision follows recent missile attacks and comes after the airlines extended the suspension of flights to and from Beirut until October 8 due to Israel’s military actions in southern Lebanon.
Emirates confirmed the cancellations on its website, stating, “Customers transiting through Dubai with final destinations in Iraq, Iran, and Jordan will not be accepted for travel at their point of origin until further notice.” The airline is actively monitoring the situation and is in contact with relevant authorities regarding developments.
Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has also suspended its service to Tel Aviv, effective October 2, citing ongoing regional developments. The affected flights include EY593 from Abu Dhabi to Tel Aviv and EY594 returning. A representative stated that the airline is closely monitoring the situation and will assist passengers with alternative travel arrangements.
Etihad previously announced that its flights to Beirut would remain canceled until October 8. As the situation unfolds, airlines are prioritizing passenger safety and adjusting their services accordingly.
