An animal handler was attacked by a tiger at Dreamworld theme park in Australia on Monday, according to emergency services. The woman, in her 30s, sustained severe lacerations to her arm and was taken to the hospital, but her condition is reported to be stable.
The Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed the injuries, describing them as deep cuts to her arm. Dreamworld issued a statement acknowledging the incident, noting that it involved one of the park’s tigers and a trained handler.
“Dreamworld’s immediate focus is on supporting the team member involved,” the park said. “This was an isolated and rare event, and we will conduct a thorough review to ensure it does not happen again.”
