RAWALPINDI: Three additional retired Pakistan Army officers have been detained for breaching military discipline, ARY News reported on Thursday. This information comes from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The ISPR revealed that these officers were taken into custody as part of the ongoing court-martial proceedings involving former ISI chief Lt. General (retired) Faiz Hameed. The investigation is focused on whether these retired officers and their associates were involved in creating instability in collaboration with certain political groups.

Previously, on August 13, the former ISI chief, Faiz Hameed, was also detained by the military. The ISPR mentioned that court-martial proceedings have begun against him.

The army’s media wing explained that, following a Supreme Court order, a thorough inquiry was conducted to address complaints against Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed related to the Top City case. As a result, disciplinary actions have been taken against him in accordance with the Pakistan Army Act.
