In a press statement, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) announced, “The Flight Calibration and Flight Procedure Design milestone for the New Gwadar International Airport has been successfully achieved with the successful test landing of the Calibration Aircraft on the newly constructed runway.”

This major achievement is the result of collaborative efforts between Chinese and Pakistani project teams. The airport is expected to be completed and fully operational by the fourth quarter of this year.
