Taylor Swift Speaks Out About Tragic Attack on Children
Taylor Swift is in shock after a horrific attack on children attending a dance workshop in Southport, Merseyside. On July 29, a knifeman targeted the event, killing two children and injuring nine others, six of them critically.
In her first statement, Swift expressed her deep shock and sadness. She posted on Instagram, saying, “The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously. I’m just completely in shock.”
She continued, “The loss of life and innocence, and the trauma inflicted on everyone involved, including families and first responders, is overwhelming. These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to convey my sympathies to these families.”
Kate Middleton and Prince William have also expressed their grief over the tragedy.
