Students in Sindh, including Karachi, are starting their academic year with confusion and frustration due to a significant shortage of textbooks. The Sindh Textbook Board Jamshoro has yet to distribute essential books, causing major disruptions in students’ education.
Critical textbooks, including Mathematics, English, and Computer Science for matriculation, as well as Urdu for class 5 and Chemistry and Computer Science for 9th grade, are missing from the market. This shortage has left many students and parents scrambling to find the necessary materials.
As a result, students have had to rely on notebooks and self-study, preparing for exams without the required textbooks. The delay in book distribution has created a challenging start to the school year, highlighting the urgent need for the textbook board to address this issue and ensure timely delivery of educational resources.
