A student in Lahore’s Hadyara reportedly committed suicide after receiving poor grades in the matric exams. Arslan (15), from village Padana, jumped from a water storage tank and died from multiple head and neck injuries.
The police said Arslan was disappointed with his marks after the BISE announced the results. A police and forensic team is investigating.
On Tuesday, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore announced that 69 percent of 174,500 students passed the matric exam.
