Bakheet Ateeq al-Remeithi, the UAE Consul General in Karachi, has warned Pakistanis in the UAE to avoid spreading negative information about Pakistan, its institutions, or politicians.
He pointed out that some Pakistanis have been sharing harmful content on social media, leading to multiple arrests and long prison sentences, including life sentences for over five individuals. Many involved have been deported.
The Consul General stressed that those participating in such activities might face visa denials for Gulf countries, including the UAE. He advised against sharing negative content online and warned that strict legal actions would be taken against offenders. He also encouraged Pakistanis to resolve political disputes and keep them out of Dubai.
While visa services are still available, Ateeq mentioned that visa rules have become stricter. He suggested that Pakistanis explore their own country’s tourist spots before traveling to Dubai.
