A large number of fake online accounts pretending to be from the Sindh police have been uncovered. The Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) is now working to find and stop the people behind these accounts.

These fake accounts were found on various platforms, including social media and messaging apps. The 97 fake accounts included five fake websites, 21 fake WhatsApp groups, 37 fake Facebook accounts, seven fake Twitter accounts, 14 fake TikTok accounts, and 13 fake Instagram accounts.

To address this issue, the IGP has asked the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to act quickly to shut down these fake accounts and protect the public from scams and misinformation.

The IGP, Ghulam Nabi Memon, has sent letters to the FIA, requesting that they remove these fake accounts from platforms like Facebook and TikTok. He stressed that these impostors have no official link to the Sindh police and urged the FIA to keep the Sindh police updated on the removal process so they can take legal action against those responsible.
