KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has taken a significant step by moving to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in connection with alleged war crimes committed in Gaza.

A plea filed by Advocate Sohail Hameed claims that Netanyahu, along with other Israeli officials, is responsible for the deaths of over 41,000 Palestinians, including 15,000 children, as well as the ongoing siege of Gaza.

The application highlights that the International Criminal Court (ICC) has already issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and others involved. It urges the court to direct relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the United Nations, to act on these warrants and ensure accountability for those accused of war crimes.

In May, the ICC prosecutor sought an arrest warrant against Netanyahu for his role in the Gaza conflict, underscoring the growing international scrutiny of the situation.

What are your thoughts on this legal action? Do you think it will have any impact on international relations?
