Sindh Government Introduces Interest-Free Student Loans

The Sindh government has unveiled a scheme to offer interest-free loans to students enrolled at Agricultural University Tando Jam. The Department of Agriculture at the university has been tasked with devising and executing strategies to ensure the equitable allocation of these loans among students.

Sardar Bakhsh Mehr, Sindh’s Minister of Agriculture, elaborated on the initiative, highlighting its goal of empowering young individuals pursuing agricultural education. By alleviating financial constraints, the government aims to enable these students to establish their own agricultural ventures post-graduation.

Minister Mehr underscored the urgency of addressing climate change, noting its profound impact on the agricultural sector. He stressed the importance of educated and innovative agricultural professionals in mitigating these challenges and promoting sustainable practices.

Furthermore, the minister disclosed that the Sindh government has initiated work on the “Hari Card” project. This endeavor is part of broader endeavors to support the agricultural community, seeking to furnish farmers across the province with various benefits and resources.
