The Sindh Food Authority carried out a raid on Tuesday at a factory in Bhains Colony, Karachi, where chemicals were being mixed with water to produce fake milk,

Muzamil Haliputo, ADG of the Sindh Food Authority, revealed that the factory was producing 9,000 liters of milk using 750 kilos of chemicals. The authorities confiscated and destroyed the tainted milk, which was made by combining these chemicals with 480 liters of water.

The personnel involved in this illegal operation were arrested, and legal action is being pursued against them.

Muzamil Haliputo stressed that the authorities are committed to preventing activities that endanger public health.

This raid follows a similar operation last month, in which the Sindh Food Authority shut down another synthetic milk factory, seized hazardous chemicals, and arrested the staff involved.
