Sindh’s Information Minister, Sharjeel Memon, announced on Thursday that government employees will have the chance to acquire residential plots through installment plans.

Following a model similar to the existing journalists’ society, Memon detailed the Sindh government’s plan to develop residential societies specifically for government employees, offering plots at reduced costs.

This housing scheme will cater to both upper-grade and lower-grade government employees. Additionally, personnel from the Sindh police and traffic police departments will be able to book plots in the society.

Addressing Karachi’s transportation needs, Memon mentioned that after approving new routes for electric buses, the city requires 8,000 buses.

He also highlighted that while Solid Waste Management is actively operating across Sindh, real estate builders frequently dump debris on streets and into drains. He warned that individuals involved in this practice will face arrest as per the Chief Minister’s instructions.
