Sheikh Saleh Al-Shaibi, Custodian of the Kaaba Key, Passes Away

Dr. Sheikh Saleh bin Zain Al-Abidin Al-Shaibi, the esteemed holder of the holy Kaaba key, has passed away after a prolonged illness. His death has deeply saddened many, including Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, both of whom expressed profound sorrow over his passing.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shahbaz Sharif, also conveyed his condolences, praying for Dr. Al-Shaibi to be granted a high rank in the afterlife and offering strength to his family during this challenging time.

Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the unique and significant honor of Dr. Al-Shaibi as the Kaaba’s key bearer. Dr. Al-Shaibi was the 109th individual to hold this esteemed position, a tradition passed down through generations as recommended by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Dr. Al-Shaibi’s role was not only one of great respect and responsibility but also a symbol of a long-standing heritage. His passing marks the end of an era, and he will be remembered for his dedication and service to this sacred duty.

His death has deeply impacted those who knew him and the wider Islamic community, underscoring the profound respect and reverence for the custodians of the Kaaba.
