Shehbaz Sharif Promises Relief on Electricity Bills ‘Soon

During a special Independence Day ceremony, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the sacrifices made for Pakistan’s independence and assured the nation that relief from high electricity bills is on the way.

In his address, the Prime Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to reducing electricity costs, recognizing that lower energy prices are crucial for the growth of industry and agriculture. He pledged to work relentlessly to achieve this goal, even stating he would go to great lengths, “even at the cost of his own life,” to bring down electricity prices.

Shehbaz Sharif also praised the achievements of weightlifter Arshad Nadeem, who recently won a gold medal, bringing pride and joy to the nation.

Reflecting on the country’s independence, the Prime Minister highlighted the role of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, acknowledging his leadership in securing Pakistan’s freedom from British colonial rule. He attributed the nation’s independence to the grace of God and the sacrifices made by the forefathers.
