The telecom sector has reported that the second trial of a new national security firewall has been successfully completed.
This firewall, aimed at enhancing national security, focuses on blocking controversial content and curbing propaganda across social media platforms. The installation involved restricting services provided by Internet Service Providers (ISPs), including temporary halts on audio and video downloads from social media apps. During the firewall’s deployment, mobile signal and internet services were also suspended.
Sources indicate that social media services are expected to resume normal operations within the next few days.
