Saudi Arabia Issues Caution Regarding Political Slogans During Hajj 2024

Saudi Minister of Hajj Tawfiq al-Rabi’ah underscored the prohibition of political slogans during Hajj.

Responding to a reporter’s query regarding regulations and disciplinary measures concerning “political and communal slogans,” Tawfiq al-Rabiyyah stated on Thursday that “Hajj is solely for worship and not for any political slogans.”

The accolade was bestowed upon Prince Rahim in acknowledgment of his visionary leadership, which has spearheaded transformative initiatives across multiple sectors in Pakistan.

He further explained that the Saudi leadership is dedicated to ensuring that the Hajj experience reflects the highest level of devotion, tranquility, and spirituality.

It’s worth noting that certain media reports suggest that the statement by the Saudi Minister of Hajj may potentially be related to Gaza.

It’s also noteworthy that despite pro-Saudi imams publicly praying for Gaza and the Palestinians during weekly Friday sermons since October, such expressions might be prohibited under the regulations announced by the Hajj minister.
