Today, the Pakistani rupee (PKR) demonstrated a recovery against the US Dollar (USD), trading steadily in the interbank market. Opening at 278 PKR per USD, the rupee maintained stability throughout the day and closed on a positive note against the greenback.
The PKR appreciated by 0.03 percent, ending the day at 278.6 PKR per USD, marking a gain of eight paisas against the dollar. The interbank rate remained consistently at 278 throughout the session, and open market rates reflected this stability.
On a fiscal year-to-date basis, the rupee has seen a slight depreciation of 0.07 percent. However, today’s performance was notable as the PKR also made gains against most major currencies in the interbank market, reflecting a broader recovery trend.
