Mosquito nets worth Rs. 300 million have been stolen from a government warehouse in Quetta, according to ARY News. The stolen nets, totaling 368,000 and donated by international organizations, were intended for distribution across three districts in Balochistan.

Despite this significant theft, health ministry sources report that 1.8 million mosquito nets are still being distributed by an NGO in the region.

The theft came to light when an NGO uncovered the loss, prompting an investigation by the Central Monitoring Unit (CMU) team, which has since traveled to Quetta to address the issue. An investigation is ongoing, with reports indicating attempts to cover up the theft.

In a related incident, thousands of metric tons of wheat have also been reported missing from Sindh government warehouses.
