As tensions rise within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, cricket legend Shahid Afridi has shared important advice for the leadership. With the party grappling with an internal conflict while navigating the country’s economic crisis, Afridi’s insights come at a pivotal moment.
The discord among senior party figures, particularly between Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Jahangir Tareen, has drawn attention. Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain emphasized that decisions made by Prime Minister Imran Khan regarding party matters are always deemed final and must be adhered to by all members. He acknowledged that differing opinions exist within all political parties, highlighting the essence of a democratic system.
Hussain also noted Tareen’s valuable contributions as an esteemed agriculturalist and his previous role in the formation of the PTI government following the 2018 elections. While Tareen attended a cabinet meeting only once, he remains a key figure whose expertise the party may tap into again as needed.
In light of these developments, Afridi, a close associate of Imran Khan, took to Twitter to offer his thoughts to PTI leaders, emphasizing the importance of unity and focused action during these challenging times.
