Punjab Starts Giving Laptops Again After Seven Years

The Punjab government has announced that it’s bringing back its laptop program for university students in the province. This decision was made in a meeting led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who was focusing on improving higher education.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has told officials to restart the laptop program for Punjab students. This means students in different schools and colleges across the province will get laptops from the government again after seven years.

In the meeting, CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif learned about the challenges in higher education. She also ordered the opening of new universities and colleges in less developed areas of Punjab.

CM Punjab stressed how important it is to have top-quality universities and colleges all over Punjab.

Officials updated CM Maryam on efforts to improve higher education, including giving laptops and transportation help to students.

The Chief Minister was told that there are over 650,000 students in both private and public universities in Punjab. Among them, 44% are boys and 56% are girls.
