Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif recently opened Punjab’s largest medicine warehouse in Maraka and ordered that warehouses in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Multan start operating right away.
Now, nine warehouses across the province are fully operational, with the capacity to store over 17 billion medicines and medical supplies.
Maryam Nawaz was actively involved in the project, even driving a forklift and inspecting the quality of the furniture, equipment, medicines, and storage conditions.
Health Secretary Ali Jan Khan confirmed that these warehouses are well-equipped to keep medicines at the right temperatures, ensuring their safety and effectiveness. This initiative aims to enhance healthcare services in the region by maintaining a reliable supply of quality medicines.
