Punjab Expands Free Wi-Fi Initiative to More Cities

Punjab’s free Wi-Fi initiative has significantly expanded, now offering service at over 230 locations across various cities. This development is part of Chief Minister aryam Nawaz Sharifs vision for a more connected province.

The Safe City project has led this expansion, establishing free Wi-Fi access points in key urban centers. Lahore is at the forefront with 200 locations, followed by Sheikhupura with 15, Kasur with 10, and Nankana Sahib with 5 points.

A spokesperson for the initiative shared impressive statistics from the past quarter, reporting that around 7.7 million users accessed the service, consuming 111 terabytes of data. The Wi-Fi network boasts a robust 98.7% availability rate, highlighting its reliability and accessibility for residents and visitors alike.
