Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has instructed the Gwadar Port Authority to offer full support to Chinese companies.

He met with a delegation from Hengeng Trading Company, led by Chairman Zhang Bin, in Islamabad. The Prime Minister emphasized the need for reliable utilities in the Gwadar Free Zone and expressed Pakistan’s interest in benefiting from China’s agricultural success. He welcomed Chinese investors and noted that recent business agreements between Pakistani and Chinese firms are a positive development.

The delegation informed the Prime Minister that Hengeng Trading Company is investing in agriculture, livestock, pharmaceuticals, and other sectors in Pakistan. They are building a $50 million state-of-the-art slaughterhouse in Gwadar, which will enable Pakistan to export $30 million worth of livestock products annually and create around 1,000 local jobs.

Additionally, Hengeng Trading Company is processing and exporting pharmaceuticals from the Gwadar Free Zone to China.
