PIA Shares Positive Update on UK and Europe Flights
Exciting news for Pakistanis in the UK and Europe! Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will restart flights to Paris next month and to the UK on August 14 after a four-year break. This update was reported by 24NewsHD TV.
Abdullah Hafeez, PIA’s spokesperson, mentioned that the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is expected to approve the airline’s flights in phases throughout this month. Once approved, PIA will first resume operations in Paris and then begin direct flights to London on August 14. Hafeez also noted that PIA is hurrying to repair its 777 aircraft in preparation for the resumption of flights.
Currently, PIA has seven 777 planes in operation, with two more expected to be ready within the next two months. With a total of nine 777 planes, PIA aims to significantly increase its flight services to Europe.
Furthermore, Pakistan has air service agreements with 97 countries. It’s important to mention that direct flights from Pakistan to the UK were suspended in 2020.
