The Sindh government will launch the Peoples Bus Service in Nawabshah next week, announced Sindh Senior Minister for Transport, Sharjeel Inam Memon.
Memon highlighted the success of the bus service in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Larkana.
He also revealed plans for two new routes in Karachi: one from Hawkes Bay to Merewether Town and another from Saadi Town to Merewether Tower.
The number of female-only pink buses has increased on various routes in Karachi, following directives from PPP leader Faryal Talpur. Additionally, Pakistan’s first electric bus service was launched in Karachi, with plans for more electric buses.
The federal finance minister announced the nationwide expansion of the pink bus service during the new federal budget presentation, a vision credited to the PPP.
Memon also urged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to fulfill his promise of providing Sindh with 150 passenger buses.
