A Palestinian photographer named Motaz Azaiza spent almost four months in Gaza. He’s got lots of followers on Instagram and Twitter. He’s using his photos to show people what’s going on in Gaza and to help the crisis there. Time Magazine thinks he’s really important and put him in their list of 100 most influential people for 2024.

Time Magazine said Motaz Azaiza was like the world’s eyes and ears in Gaza for 108 days. He took pictures of families who lost their homes, women grieving, and people stuck under broken buildings. His photos let people see what life is like in Gaza, where it’s hard for international reporters to go.

Motaz feels honored to represent Palestine and wants people to know that Palestine will be free one day. He’s brave to report from dangerous places, especially because many journalists have been hurt or killed in Gaza.

After leaving Gaza, Motaz is still working hard to tell the world about the problems in the Middle East. He met a US congresswoman named Rashida Tlaib to talk about their shared struggles as Palestinians. They believe things are changing, and people are starting to understand the situation better.
