Azra Farooq has made history by becoming the first Pakistani athlete to win the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award at the prestigious Kings Cup Volleyball tournament in the Maldives.
Representing MK Club, Azra’s exceptional skills and dedication were instrumental in leading her team to victory in all four matches of the tournament. Her performance was so outstanding that she was named the best player in each game.
Azra’s success at the Kings Cup is truly remarkable. She brought home a total of six trophies: four for being the Player of the Match, one for the tournament MVP, and another for being recognized as one of the top six players.
This achievement marks a significant milestone for women’s volleyball in Pakistan, demonstrating that Pakistani women athletes can excel and shine on the international stage.
Azra is no stranger to playing in the Maldives. Previously, she made headlines by joining Al-Fawz Club to compete in the MZC Ladies’ Cup, where she played alongside fellow Pakistani player Muqaddas Bukhari.
