In the Gwadar Free Zones, all companies can now conduct trade with Pakistan’s mainland markets using Pakistani currency instead of US dollars, as outlined in the federal budget for 2024-25. This change aims to shield both sides from fluctuations in the dollar.
In the Gwadar North Free Zone, two export-oriented companies, Agven (a fertilizer exporter) and Hangeng (an agricultural industrial park), have begun operations. Additionally, plans are underway for a lubrication oil company and a textile firm to establish factories, promising to generate tens of thousands of job opportunities for local residents.
