Since 2022, Hafsa Qadeer, a Pakistani expatriate, has been making significant strides in improving job opportunities for people with disabilities in the UAE. Her efforts, including the organization of the UAE’s largest career fair for Emiratis with disabilities, have led to the creation of 400 job opportunities for this often-overlooked community.

A Vision for Change:

Founding ‘ImInclusive’: At the age of 27, Hafsa Qadeer made a bold career shift from her day job to pursue a mission close to her heart. She set out to develop ‘ImInclusive,’ a platform designed to function as a ‘LinkedIn’ for people of determination. This initiative aims to bridge the employment gap and showcase the talents of individuals with disabilities.

Personal Motivation: Hafsa’s drive is deeply personal. Her younger brother Ahmed, who is also a person of determination, inspired her to take action. She often worried about his future job prospects and the potential for his abilities to be overlooked due to his wheelchair.

Additional Challenges: The mission gained added urgency when Hafsa’s mother also acquired a temporary disability due to an injury. This personal experience further fueled Hafsa’s commitment to ‘ImInclusive,’ motivating her to dedicate herself fully to the cause.

Impact: Through her efforts, Hafsa has not only organized a major career fair but has also directly contributed to creating job opportunities for people with disabilities, showcasing their skills and potential to employers.

Hafsa Qadeer’s dedication reflects a broader commitment to enhancing inclusivity and providing equal opportunities for all. Her work with ‘ImInclusive’ continues to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities in the UAE.
