ISLAMABAD (APP) – In a landmark development, Pakistan is set to host the Cross Country Athletics Championship for the first time in November this year.
According to Major Gen (R) Muhammad Akram Sahi, Chairman of South Asia Athletics, the championship will take place on **November 24**. The specific venue will be announced in the coming days, and the government has issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to facilitate the organization of the event.
The championship will feature two men’s categories: senior and under-20 competitions. Athletes from seven countries—Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, the Maldives, Nepal, and Bhutan—will compete in this exciting event, showcasing regional talent and fostering sportsmanship.
