Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Tuesday that agreements worth $2 billion will be signed during the upcoming visit of a Saudi Arabian delegation to Pakistan. The delegation, led by Saudi Arabia’s Minister for Investment Khalid Bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, is scheduled to visit from October 9 to 11 and will include representatives from both government and the private sector.
During a federal cabinet meeting, the prime minister addressed key topics including economic recovery and the forthcoming SCO meeting. He highlighted the significance of the Saudi delegation’s visit, stating, “Agreements and MoUs worth USD two billion are expected during the visit.” He also noted that Pakistan has secured the IMF program with the support of friendly nations such as China, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia, while inflation has decreased from 32 percent to 6.9 percent.
