Pakistan Makes Significant Progress in QS World University Rankings 2025

QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) has released the 21st edition of its World University Rankings, which is the only ranking system to assess both employability and sustainability performance. This year’s rankings include a record 1,500 institutions from 106 higher education systems.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) retains the top spot for the 13th consecutive year. However, Imperial College has climbed from 6th place last year to 2nd place in the latest edition due to its exceptional research performance, high employability scores, and strong sustainability commitment. The University of Oxford and Harvard University maintain their positions at 3rd and 4th place respectively, while the University of Cambridge completes the top five.
