Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, extended a warm invitation to Emirati entrepreneurs to invest in Pakistan’s flourishing economic sectors, notably agriculture, information technology, and energy. The call to action came during the “Business Opportunities Conference Dubai,” which drew over 100 Pakistani and Emirati business leaders keen on exploring potential collaborations between the two nations.

Highlighting the youthful demographic composition of Pakistan, with over 60% of its population under the age of 30, Tirmizi emphasized the vast investment prospects across various industries within the country. He underscored the strong bilateral relationship between Pakistan and the UAE, recognizing the significant contributions of the Pakistani diaspora to the UAE’s advancement.

Dr. Abdulrahman Hassan Al Muaini, Assistant Undersecretary for Intellectual Property Rights at the UAE’s Ministry of Economy, echoed sentiments of mutual opportunity and collaboration between the two nations during the conference. Emphasizing the potential for fruitful engagements between business communities, he expressed optimism for positive outcomes from ongoing interactions.

The UAE stands as a pivotal ally for Pakistan, ranking as its third-largest trading partner, following China and the United States. Additionally, Pakistan views the UAE as an ideal export destination due to its geographical proximity. The relationship between the two countries was further strengthened in January with the signing of agreements totaling over $3 billion for cooperation in railways, economic zones, and infrastructure at the World Economic Forum summit in Davos.

With an estimated 1.8 million Pakistani expatriates residing in the UAE, the country serves as the second-largest source of remittances for Pakistan, underscoring the deep ties and economic significance between the two nations.
