In a move to strengthen educational ties, an official from Pakistan’s Ministry of Education has revealed plans to offer scholarships to students from Bangladesh. They’re currently collaborating with top universities to finalize the details of this initiative.
The Pakistani High Commissioner has already met with Bangladeshi officials in Dhaka to discuss the exciting prospects. This initiative follows a request from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs aimed at encouraging Bangladeshi students to pursue higher education in Pakistan’s esteemed institutions.
“We are in discussions,” confirmed another Ministry official, adding that while the exact number of scholarships is still being determined, it’s expected to be significant.
This isn’t Pakistan’s first foray into educational support; the Higher Education Commission is already providing hundreds of scholarships to students from Afghanistan and Sri Lanka through various federal programs.
What do you think about this initiative? Could this be a game changer for students looking to broaden their horizons?
