Pakistan’s historic lunar mission, ICUBE-Q, is set to launch on May 3rd aboard China’s Chang’e 6 mission from Hainan, China. The mission, reported by APP, aims to gather samples from the Moon’s far side for research purposes.

The satellite ICUBE-Q is a joint effort between Pakistan’s Institute of Space Technology (IST), China’s Shanghai University SJTU, and Pakistan’s national space agency SUPARCO. The mission includes Pakistan’s CubeSat Satellite, iCube-Q, developed by IST.

CubeSats are small, standardized satellites used for various purposes in space exploration, research, and education. Pakistan’s participation in this lunar mission demonstrates its commitment to space exploration and collaboration with China in scientific research and technology development.
