In an important meeting held on Tuesday, Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their commitment to deepen collaboration in key areas such as industrial zones, agriculture, mineral and mining, and renewable energy.
The Finance Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Aurangzeb, met with the Chinese Ambassador, Jiang Zaidong, to discuss significant matters regarding economic cooperation and bilateral relations between the two countries. They highlighted the importance of the next phase of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), focusing on maximizing the gains achieved during the initial phase.
Both sides expressed their eagerness to work closely to further strengthen their economic ties, reflecting the enduring friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and China. Ambassador Jiang congratulated Minister Aurangzeb on his appointment and expressed confidence in deepening economic relations.
Minister Aurangzeb thanked the Chinese leadership for their unwavering support to Pakistan, particularly mentioning significant contributions to economic stability through initiatives like rolling over SAFE deposits and refinancing commercial loans. He emphasized the vital role of CPEC in Pakistan’s growth strategy and overall economic revival.
