A large fire broke out at Islamabad’s Sunday Bazaar near Srinagar Highway, damaging over 500 shops.
Fortunately, no one was injured or killed. The fire started in the section selling shoes and clothes and quickly spread to nearby shops.
Officials from the Capital Development Authority (CDA), along with the commissioner and other authorities, managed the firefighting efforts.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi instructed local authorities to use all available resources to put out the fire quickly. The blaze is now under control, and efforts are ongoing to cool down the area.
