Nothing Named the Fastest-Growing Smartphone Brand Worldwide
Nothing, a British tech company that launched its first product just three years ago, has emerged as the fastest-growing brand in smartphones and wireless earbuds, according to Canalys.
Despite being a relatively new player, Nothing’s growth is striking. The company’s smartphone sales surged by an impressive 693% in Q2 2024 compared to the same period last year, and saw a 246% increase in the first half of 2024. This rapid growth has positioned Nothing as the leading smartphone brand in the UK, Saudi Arabia, and India for the first half of 2024.
The growth in their wireless earbuds segment is even more remarkable, with a 769% increase year-over-year in Q2 2024 and a 331% rise in the first half of the year. Nothing has become the fastest-growing wireless earbuds brand in the US, France, Spain, Netherlands, and Italy.
The company’s latest release, the Phone (2a) Plus, builds on the previous Nothing Phone (2a). It features an upgraded Dimensity 7350 Pro chipset and a new 50MP front camera with 4K video recording capabilities. The phone also includes 50W wired charging, which offers only a slight improvement over the previous 45W rating but continues to use the same 5,000 mAh battery.
