Nestled amid the verdant fields of Khokhar village in Narowal, the Noor Masjid stands as a breathtaking testament to architectural grandeur. This mosque, inspired by the design of Masjid-e-Nabawi (PBUH), is celebrated as the eighth most beautiful mosque in Pakistan.
A Tribute to Reverence and Beauty
Constructed in 2016 by Lt. Gen. (retd) Israr Ahmed Ghumman, the mosque honors his deep respect for the spiritual Sufi guide Pir Nusrat Naqshbandi. Pir Naqshbandi, born on January 1, 1942, in Narowal and passing away on December 21, 2005, in Taxila, has his shrine situated right next to the mosque.
The Noor Masjid attracts worshippers from distant villages and towns, serving as a significant religious destination and hosting the largest Eid prayers in Narowal. The mosque’s one-acre complex dazzles with its pristine white facade, vibrant glasswork, and elegant, sparkling chandeliers, showcasing the skill and dedication of its craftsmen.
