Karachi is experiencing hot weather today, with clear skies and bright sunshine prevailing across the city. While the suburbs may see light to moderate rain, there is no chance of rain in the city itself at the moment.
According to the Met Department, the maximum temperature in Karachi is expected to range between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius, with an earlier minimum temperature recorded at 27 degrees Celsius. Mild sea breezes are blowing at 11 kilometers per hour, offering some respite from the heat.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz has confirmed that Karachi is unlikely to experience rain today due to a decrease in the intensity of monsoon winds. He noted that while the surrounding suburbs might see some rainfall, the city will remain dry for the time being.
Elsewhere in Sindh, light rains have been reported in Badin, Mirpurkhas, Umarkot, Sanghar, and Larkana, with heavier showers occurring in Tharparkar. However, the rain system has not progressed enough to impact Karachi, and the monsoon winds have weakened significantly.
Sardar Sarfraz added that although rain in Karachi itself is unlikely, light showers in the city’s outskirts cannot be entirely ruled out. For now, the chances of rain within the city remain minimal.
