Government primary schools in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) are implementing a new policy to ease the burden on young students. This policy eliminates the need for students to carry school books between home and school.
Instead, classrooms will be equipped with pigeon holes and book racks to store the books, creating a more convenient and child-friendly learning environment. The aim is to reduce the weight of school bags and enhance the overall educational experience.
Education Secretary Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani discussed the policy in an interview with a national daily, mentioning that he has been working on it for over a month. He assured that all necessary arrangements will be completed before schools reopen.
Wani emphasized that this decision will be beneficial for both parents and students, predicting a positive impact on young minds. The new policy is set to take effect from August 1, with preparations underway in all government primary schools across the capital.
